1. Booking your Holiday

When you or your travel agent confirms your holiday booking, our payment terms and conditions will apply of which you will confirm your acceptance. A detailed invoice will follow which will indicate the payment plan.


2. Payment Terms and Conditions

If the booking is confirmed and you authorize a go ahead for the reservation of space, we will send you our detailed invoice and our payment plan, which includes; a 30% deposit at the time of booking to secure reservation. The balance should be sent at least 30 days prior to tour commencement.


3. Insurance

Travel insurance is not included in our safari price list. We strongly recommend that you take a comprehensive Travel Insurance to cover cancellation of Holiday, Medical expenses, personal accident, loss of personal baggage, money and public liability before commencement of your holiday.


4. Changes to Holiday accommodation or Programme

ALM reserves the right to re-route the programme if for some reason beyond its control it becomes unavoidable e.g. road condition, bad weather, lodge closed or over-booked, etc. If this happens, we will endeavour to provide accommodation of at least same standard in the same area. If the only accommodation that is available is of a lower standard, we will refund the difference in price. This information will be passed to the clients at the earliest opportunity and alternative arrangements shall have been pre-agreed.


5. Cancellation of tour and our refund Policy

If you or any one on your holiday booking has to cancel the holiday, we must be notified the decision in writing. The cancellation fees will take effect from the day the written confirmation is received. As a result, any reservation that is cancelled, reduced in length of stay or reduced in numbers (hereinafter referred to as CANCELLATION ) are subject to Cancellation and No Show fees on per person basis if cancelled within 45 days of the arrival date and are applicable in percentages as indicated below:

– up to 45 days before Safari begins 30%
– up to 30 days before Safari begins 40%
– up to 14 days before Safari begins 60%
– up to 7 days before Safari begins 90%
– No show 100%

We strongly advise you to take a Comprehensive Travel Insurance which will in most cases include cover against loss of deposit or cancellation fees.


6. Change of booking by the customer

If you want to change any part of your holiday after confirmation of earlier plan, this can be done subject to availability of space and your acceptance of any extra costs and cancellation fees that may be incurred as a result.


7. If you have a complaint

Whilst on holiday, it is important that you bring any complaint to our attention and we will do our best to rectify the situation. This can be done through the driver-guides or our hotel representatives or by calling our office staff on our emergency numbers. Should a problem remain unresolved, you should make a complaint in writing within three weeks of your holiday completion.

8. Other Operators

For services, where ALM appears only as an agent, which will be indicated at the time of booking, the Operator or service provider shall take responsibility to undertake the services e.g. Dhow Safaris, Balloon Safaris, local flights, Deep Sea Fishing etc. ALM will however only book with responsible Operators if booking is done through us and will always monitor service delivery and offer assistance incase of complaint.


9. Cancellation of Holiday – “Force Majeure”

We reserve the right to cancel your holiday if the cause is a reason outside our control and also deemed to be a threat to your safety e.g. war or threat of war, civil strife, industrial disputes, natural disasters, bad weather, terrorist activity, etc. In such circumstances of “Force Majeure” we are not liable to pay any compensation or other wise be responsible for any expenses you may incur. We will however first offer an alternative holiday of comparable type. If the alternative offered is at an additional cost, the difference will be payable by you.
If the cancellation by us arises out of non-payment or late payment on any part of the cost of your holiday, or for alterations you may have requested in bad time, then cancellation charges will apply.
