Tour Details

Transfers from Arusha-Kilimanjaro Airport or from Taveta Border (Kenya) or also scheduled bus trip from Mombasa can be booked at extra costs.

Price Includes

  • Transport in a 4×4 safari Vehicle, with the cook, clients and driver guide all in the same car. (Pick up Arusha /drop off Arusha ).For further connections refer to your program.
  • A trailer for the camp equipments and foodstuffs will be hooked to the Land cruiser.
  • Park entry, Campsite and Crater service fees are included
  • The use of Public Campsite where sharing washroom facilities of reasonable hygienic standard are available is provided. (No hot water shower)
  • Accommodation in small two-man tents with a two-inch mattress spread on ground sheet ( clients are advised to bring their own sleeping bags )
  • Three meals a day prepared by a safari special cook
  • Bottle water 1 Litre per person per day during game drives

Additional remarks

  • There is no electricity on budget camping
  • In budget camping, the campsites used are public. The cleaning of the toilets and showers is not managed or controlled by AFRICA LAST MINUTE
  • If clients delay arriving at the campsite they will also delay to get their meals as all the preparations are done on arrival
  • Yellow fever inoculation is currently mandatory (Please ask your doctor for any updated)
Itinerary

Day 1Transfers

Transfers from Arusha-Kilimanjaro Airport or from Taveta Border (Kenya) or also scheduled bus trip from Mombasa can be booked at extra costs. The tour starts with lunch in Arusha town at 1230hrs. 1330hrs, drive to Lake Manyara. Enjoy an evening game drive in Lake Manyara National Park whose inhabitants include hippos, monkeys, tree climbing lions, flamingos and other varieties of birdlife. Dinner and overnight at a campsite in Mto wa Mbu

Day 2Serengeti National Park

Depart to Serengeti National Park with picnic lunches. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in the endless plains of the Serengeti for a chance to see the great herds of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles or a pride of lions lounging in the shade.

Day 3Serengeti National Park

Spend a full day of game viewing in the Serengeti National Park. {Central Serengeti} Meals and overnight under tents in the Serengeti

Day 4Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area via Olduvai Gorge, the site of Louis and Mary Leakey’s renowned archaeological discoveries. Their findings include some of the man’s earliest known ancestral remains. Picnic lunches will be served at the Gorge. Proceed driving to Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Day 5

Today you will descend 2000 feet (0ver 600 meters) to the floor of the crater for a half day crater tour. Explore the forest areas that are inhabited by monkeys and elephants, the lake area, where you may see the flamingos and the open savannah where the lions hunt for food. Afternoon return to the camp for lunch.
After lunch, drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight under tents.

Day 6

After breakfast, drive back to Arusha. Lunch in Arusha Transfer to Taveta border for the drop off ( optional connections )
